How mial works.
Promises come in from the apps you already use. mial keeps them with the people they belong to. You follow through. Here is each part, and what it can and cannot do.
One address for your AI apps.
Claude, ChatGPT (Business and Enterprise; Pro can read), Cursor, Claude Code and any other app that supports MCP connectors can connect to your mial.
- Copy your address. In mial, open Connections and copy https://getmial.com/mcp
- Add it in your app. Usually Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector.
- Sign in and approve. The app sends you to mial to sign in and approve it.
A connected app can see your promises and people, so it starts every conversation knowing what is open. If you allow it when you approve, it can also add and update: new promises, mark kept, note who you talked to. Nothing can delete. Disconnect it any time in Connections, and its access ends right away.
What an app does with what it reads is up to that app, under its own terms. Some AI apps train on what they receive unless you turn that off, so check its data settings before you connect it.
Telegram. In Connections, tap Telegram, then open mial on Telegram and tap Start. On another device, search for @getmialbot and send the six-digit code shown there. The code works for 10 minutes.
Your own agents. Create a personal API key in Connections for an automation or an agent you build. Choose read only, or read and add. The key is shown once, nothing it does can delete, and it can be revoked any time.
Tell it what you promised.
On Telegram. Forward a message to mial, or type what you promised, like "I told Dana I'd send the numbers Monday." It keeps the promise, the person and the date. /add adds anything as it is. "talked to Maria today" notes that you were in touch. When a message might be a promise, it asks "Want me to add" first, and nothing is saved until you say yes.
In the app. The gold + button adds a promise: what, who is doing it, and by when. mial reads it back to you as one sentence before you add it.
From your AI apps and agents. With your permission, a connected app or key adds what you promised and who you talked to while you work.
Everything carries where it came from. New items arrive under Caught for you, where "Looks right" accepts one and "Not a promise" removes it. Removed items stay in Connections for 30 days.

A morning page, and a nudge when it is due.
Each morning, mial sends one short page, by email or on Telegram: what's due today, what's slipping, and who has gone quiet. Tap Done next to any of them, or Not yet to move what is left to tomorrow. It comes only when there is something to say, and a nudge lands on Telegram when something comes due.
In the app, Kept fills the gold dot and brings up the next promise, with Undo for a few seconds. Not yet moves it to tomorrow.
