Quick guide
How mial works
Mornings: open the Brief. It says what matters today.
Anytime: type anything in the bar at the bottom.
Evenings: End your day. What's left moves to tomorrow.
Things you can say
"Meeting with Sarah at 2pm" or "remind me to call mom tomorrow"
"Sarah is my coworker" or "Tom's birthday is June 12"
"What's on my mind today?" or "what time is the dentist?"
"Done with the report" or "called mom". Past-tense closes the loop.

How mial works
The loop
Tell mial things. Type anything in the bar at the bottom: "call mom tomorrow", "Sarah is my manager", "dentist Tuesday 2pm". It files it, dates it, and links the people in it.
Each morning, read the Brief. One line on what matters today, the rows that need a decision, and what has been sitting too long. Pro writes it from your data; free builds it from your dates and patterns.
Through the day, ask and correct. "What's on today?", "move that to 4", "not 8am, 9am". Past tense closes things: "called mom".
End your day. What's left moves to tomorrow, and mial asks how today went.
The four tabs
Brief is today, sorted for you. Agenda is the week and the month, by date. Areas is Work, Personal, Health and the rest, showing which are on track and which need attention. People is everyone you've mentioned: birthdays, context, and who has gone quiet.
When things pile up
Triage, in the header, walks you through what has piled up one card at a time, with a choice on each.
What mial has noticed opens from the small icon on "Needs your attention": things that keep slipping, people who haven't come up in a while, preferences you've told it. Say "sounds right" or "not quite" and it learns.
Momentum, in the right column, is this week's completion rate and your streak.
Pro
Pro adds a morning brief written from your data, and chat that reasons over it. Everything else, including the morning reminder in Settings, works on the free plan.
Your data
Scoped to your account. Encrypted in transit and at rest. Never sold, never used to train AI.
Pro requests relay through our proxy. The proxy checks your subscription, then forwards your prompt to a provider whose terms prohibit training their general-purpose AI models on your content. We log how many requests, the model, and the cost. Never the prompt itself.
You can leave anytime. Export your data as Markdown, JSON, or CSV from Settings, or delete your whole account. Deleting removes it from your account right away.

How mial works
The features and tips, in one place.
Use mial as an app
Add mial to your Home Screen or dock. Its own icon, full screen, no browser bars. Sign in on a second device and it picks up exactly where you left off.
Tap the Share button
at the bottom of Safari
Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen
Tap Add
From then on, mial opens from your Home Screen like any app.
Chrome or Edge: click the install icon in the address bar, or choose Install mial from the browser menu.
Safari on a Mac: open the File menu, then "Add to Dock."
iPhone or iPad: in Safari, tap Share, then "Add to Home Screen."
Android: in Chrome, tap the menu, then "Install app."
Tell mial
What's working, what's off, what you wish it did. Goes straight to us.
Change email
We'll send a confirmation link to your new email. The change isn't final until you click that link.
Set up two-factor
We'll add an extra step to your sign-in. You'll need an authenticator app like 1Password, Authy, or Google Authenticator.
After adding the key in your authenticator, enter the 6-digit code below.
Disable two-factor
Two-factor will be removed from your account. You can re-enable it any time.
Two-factor required
Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app to finish signing in.
Change password
Enter your current password and a new one. New password must be at least 8 characters.
Delete your account?
This will:
Cancel any active subscription
Permanently delete all your items, people, and goals
Sign you out of every device
Deleting removes it from your account right away. Copies inside our database provider's routine backups age out on that provider's rolling backup cycle, and after that the account and its data can't be recovered.
You're an early user, and your honest reaction shapes what mial becomes. What's working, what's off, what you wish it did, anything else.
Goes straight to us. Every one gets read.

This cannot be undone.
Turn on sync
Enter your mial account password to set up sync.
Your backup code
Keep this code where you can find it again. If you ever forget your password and lose access to all your devices, this is the only way to recover your data.
Your context
This is what mial knows about you, in your words. Copy it into
Claude, ChatGPT, or anything else and it starts informed instead
of asking you to re-explain your life.

All of it, one place. Scoped to your account. Never sold.
mial sorts it into your people, your promises and what you are waiting on. You review every line before anything is kept.
What's on your plate?
The things you're actively juggling. Add one at a time with Enter, or list them with commas.
Tasks, deadlines, slow-burn projects. Try "gym 3x a week", "Mom's birthday October 7", "fix the leaky faucet".
People I should remember?
The people whose context matters: partner, family, manager, close friends. Add each one with Enter.
Format: "Name, role" works (Sarah, my manager). Just a name is fine too.
Anything coming up?
Birthdays, deadlines, trips, appointments. Add one at a time with Enter, or list them with commas.
Try "Sarah's birthday September 18", "flight to Denver Oct 12", "mom's checkup next Tuesday".
Last one. About you.
Tap what fits. mial shapes its briefings around this.
