Frequently asked questions

What mial is, what connects to it, and how your data is handled.

mial (pronounced "my-all") makes sure you follow through on people and promises. It keeps what you promised and who you talked to in one place, shows what's due and who's drifting, and nudges you before anything slips.

Your AI apps, Telegram and your own agents tell it what you promised and who you talked to, or you add it yourself. Every item carries where it came from.

Claude, ChatGPT (Business and Enterprise; Pro can read), Cursor, Claude Code and any other app that supports MCP connectors. Telegram links with a one-time code, and a personal API key connects an automation or an agent you build.

To connect an AI app, copy your connection address from Connections in mial, add it in the app (usually Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector), then sign in and approve. Step by step.

What an app does with what it reads is up to that app, under its own terms. Some AI apps train on what they receive unless you turn that off, so check its data settings before you connect it.

No. mial does not chat or write for you. It keeps your promises and your people, and the AI apps you already use can read them, so they start every conversation knowing what is open.

It can see your promises and people. If you allow it when you approve, it can also add and update: new promises, mark kept, note who you talked to. Everything it adds carries its name. Nothing can delete. Disconnect it any time in Connections, and its access ends right away.

Link Telegram once from Connections. Then forward a message to mial, or type what you promised, like "I told Dana I'd send the numbers Monday." mial keeps the promise, the person and the date. When a message might be a promise, it asks first, and nothing is saved until you say yes. Your morning page and nudges arrive in the same chat.

Each morning it sends one short page, by email or on Telegram: what's due today, what's slipping, and who has gone quiet. Tap Done, or Not yet to move what is left to tomorrow. When something comes due, a nudge lands on Telegram too.

For each person you can set how long you can go quiet before mial brings them up.

No. mial does not connect to your email or calendar. It holds what you and your connections tell it, so what is in it is what you chose to keep.

Yes. mial is free while we build it. There's no paid plan and no card to enter.

Your data is scoped to your account, encrypted in transit and at rest, never sold, and never used to train general-purpose AI models. It is shared only with the services that run mial, as listed in the Privacy Policy, and with any app you connect yourself.

When mial uses AI, requests go through our own proxy to a provider whose terms prohibit training their general-purpose AI models on your content.

mial runs in any modern browser on phone, tablet, or computer. Sign in on any device and your promises and people are there.
